The Student Experience Fund (SEF) exists for one purpose—to directly benefit the student-athletes of Men's Rugby at the University of South Carolina. Every dollar contributed to the SEF is used to enhance the player experience and support the needs of the team.

Unlike restricted funds, the Student Experience Fund provides student leadership with the flexibility to address the team's greatest needs. Donations may be used for travel, team meals, equipment, player development, recruiting, leadership initiatives, special events, and other expenses that directly impact our student-athletes.

Most importantly, 100% of every donation to the Student Experience Fund goes toward supporting the players and strengthening their experience as members of the program. Your generosity helps ensure that every student-athlete has the opportunity to compete, grow, and represent South Carolina with pride.

The Frazier Coaching Fund honors Sandy Frazier, founder of Men's Rugby at the University of South Carolina. A Philadelphia native, Frazier discovered rugby in 1965 while serving with the First Troop Philadelphia City Cavalry. In 1967 he moved to Columbia to captain the Fort Jackson Rugby Club, and when the Vietnam War thinned its roster, he turned to USC. He recruited 20 students, mostly from his fraternity, and founded the USC men's rugby club, serving as player, coach, and captain until he graduated in 1971. Frazier went on to a long career as a homebuilder in Memphis, returned often for alumni events, and was inducted into the club's inaugural Hall of Fame class. After his passing on June 17, 2024, the rugby club and the Frazier family established this fund in his memory.

The Frazier Coaching Fund carries on his legacy by investing in the people and traditions that sustain the program. Contributions support coaching expenses, including the head coach's salary and stipends for assistant coaches, as well as program events such as the Hall of Fame celebration and Parents Weekend. The fund also covers other general expenses that keep Gamecock rugby running strong.
